Peggy Kolodny MA, ATR-BC, LCPAT graduated from George Washington University in 1982 with a Master's in Art Therapy. She is a Board Certified, Registered and Licensed Art Therapist with level 2 certificates in EMDR and IFS. Founder of The Art Therapy Collective of Owings Mills, Peggy specializes in trauma treatment across the life span. She is on the faculty of the University of Maryland School of Social Work where she teaches an advanced clinical course on Art Therapy. Peggy is on the professional training faculties of Chesapeake Beach Play Therapy Seminars; The Ferentz Institute; and The Expressive Therapies Summits of NYC, LA and DC, facilitating 12-16 workshops annually. She is on the Board of the Maryland Art Therapy Association and is its delegate to the American Art Therapy Association. Current community service positions involve the Shofar Coalition and HIJOS (Helping Immigration Justice for Separated children), and a founding member of both. Past faculties include Goucher College and Maryland Institute, College of Art. Past positions include President of the Maryland Art Therapy Association, Chairperson of the Central Maryland Sexual Abuse Treatment Task Force and Vice Chair of American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, MD chapter. She is currently writing a book on Art Therapy as well as several chapters for other professional art therapy texts.
